By sugar free do you mean the foods that have artificial sweetener in them? Thanks for the warning about carbs, didn't think about it.

The voucher idea is a good one but she is a beauty therapist so not sure if that would work. But will instruct Bro to give her a foot rub or two

The sugar free jelly is lush and IMO nicer than normal jelly.
There is also sugar free buscuits - I found most supermarkets have them. Sprite zero is fine as well.
Don;t make the mistake by thinking all savory stuff is ok - its not it carbs break down to glucose (hence sugar)

She is really upset about this as she thought she was being really careful, her Grandmother has type 2 and her Dad was diagnosed with type 2 about 3mths ago.

I want to go out tomorrow and put together a little hamper for her to try and boost her spirits but I wouldn't have a clue what to out in it. What can she eat? Everything that is ok to eat on a diet i.e. low in fat seems to be really high in sugar.

I have had a look at some of the other threads but can't see any mention of foods that are ok to eat. Suggestions please!
