But having said that, most babies act like they are teething for a long time before any pop through. ]]>

However apparently as a baby I started crying at night from 6wks and didn't stop until 12wks when my first tooth cut. So it is possible that your daughter is teething. As mrshouse said, you could try feeling along her gum for a bottom tooth. Also you could try giving her a cold cloth to chew/suck - although maybe check with your GP or Plunket regarding whether it would need to be sterile etc, maybe if you boiled and then cooled the water for the cloth it may be ok.]]>

I thought JJ was teething when he was about 10 weeks old, for the same reasons as you, but it was just that around that age their salivary glands suddenly start producing a lot more, and they really discover their hands at that age - everything goes in the mouth as a form of exploration.  Warning - she may get a bit spillier than usual for a while too, quite often all that new saliva gets swallowed and comes back up again until they adjust.  He's now 7.5 months and still no sign of teeth <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">]]>
