I had a medical grade doppler with both my last pregnancies. I hired it from www.b2k.co.nz with the gremlins and bought it from the same site when I was preg with lil miss. I bought one of the types of "dopplers" you see on TM when I was pregnant with DD, but found it really ineffective - as far as I know they are not even close to as strong as the clinical dopplers midwives use.

i dont know about dopplers but if you just want your DF to hear bubs heartbeat then you could do what i do. I just record it when im at the MW's onto my phone. that way i can play it back whenever i want.

Dont know if this would suit you though.

Just wondering if anyone has hired these before or purchased one?? Im thinking about it, as its so hard for my DF to get time off work to come to my MW appointments so he never gets to hear his babys heartbeat With Caden he heard it once and it amazed him.

Ive seen them on trade me but Im not spending $80 to $100 on one!
