It went on to say that it is not necessary to wait for every second day unless there are known problems with sperm production in the male. </P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Personally, we try to time it for the 3 days prior &amp; day of O&nbsp;- but as always things don't always go according to plan</P>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=20634">choco69</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 24734<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 22 February 2009 at 6:46pm<br /><br />it really depends on the sperms ability to survive in the woman's body<br /><br />in the right environment sperm could last for 3-5 days - however it is safer to assume it will only survive 1-2 days<br /><br />what is normally suggested is you BD every second day to make sure you catch your ovulation and to give your partner's sperm percentage to 'grow'<br /><br />a really good book to read is "taking charge of your fertility" by toni weschler<br /><br />it explains all the physiological things going on with your body and how to recognise when you are about to ovulate so you can time things correctly<br /><br />good luck!]]>
