we had a small birthday celebration for Dominic, just with family and a few close family friends. Lots of balloons, bubbles, singing, and jelly instead of cake. we just had Caitlyn's birthday party at the church playgroup hall (we hired it out) was mostly family and my friends and a few of hers , had icecream cake , and left the kids to it .

i just a small thing with my immediate friends and family, (like 20ppl), and because i was at playgroup at the time, i just hirer the playgroup hall out and had a 2 hour lunch.

but we also had a huge 1st birthday with our antinatal class as well.

It does depend on if it is a party for baby or you!!!

Both my boys have had a BBQ and it has been our friends and family and a couple of babies born around the same time as them.
