My dog started acting weird around the 35 week mark. We were induced at 41 + 3 so perhaps they're picking up on a change in hormone levels. They do know alot more than we give them credit for though. Like how my dog lies at the baby's door and starts to whine very quietly about 3-4 minutes before bubs wakes. I've checked a few times and bub us very much asleep when she starts this so they're pretty intuitive.

My cat has gotten alot more affectionate since I have been pregnant. He never used to sit on my lap or curl up next to me, but now he does it almost every day. wow makes you wonder huh?  Our cat was funny when I was pregnant, he has such an attitude and is the least affectionate cat ever but he would come to me and curl up on my knee and purr and go to sleep Was really strange!!  Best of luck for babies arrival!!

My border collie x acted funny the whole time I was pregnant, he'd whine and put his head on my lap with an ear to my belly whenever I was sitting down. But when I got close to my due dates, about 6 weeks before the birth, he got a bit wierd and would nose my crutch (not normal or acceptable) and in my midwife appointment I found out that bubs had engaged in my pelvis. He'd obviously known that she'd shifted. He also got whiney whenever I was having braxton hicks, even the ones that I didn't feel, it could be your fur-baby is concerned because he's picking up on braxton hicks too. Just wondering if anyones fur babies started acting strangely before they went into labour?

We have a golden retreiver who is now 16 months and right before I found out I was preg he would sit near me and whine, once we had the scan and everything he stopped doing it.
