Our sonographer could see at 19 weeks but chose not to know! I dont think our baby is shy about flashing its bits cos every scan since at some point they look at me and say do you know what your having, to which i reply.. no but you do and they smile.

I found out the girls sex at 18 weeks although the lady doing my scan told me that was a little early. Our sonographer said she would take a guess at the 12 week scan but that that was all it was, a guess. However when she pointed out to us what she thought were little boys bits it looked even obvious to me and she was right as it was confirmed at our anatomy scan at 20 weeks that we are having a boy I'm fairly certain you can tell from about 16 weeks providing like Caronz said that Bub is in a cooperating mood. But there would be no reason for you to have a scan then if you have a healthy normal pregnancy as they won't just do a scan for gender identification so you would have to wait until your anatomy scan.

Can you guys tell me how early you can find out if it is a boy or a girl.
I went for a scan on 5 weeks for the first time. The doctor sent me for a dating scan as my last couple of periods was so irregular. and they could only see a gest sac, no yolk sac or anything. I was so stressed about cause all of the sites I went to said that it should be there by 5 weeks.
