how about a trip trapp but in a great colour if your DH is not keen on wood? We have one for Amy and it is great and will be getting one for Sophie soon. Yeah I WANT a Fresco but Its not practical because of the not easy to move around part. Otherwise we would get it. My husband doesn't like the wooden ones. We looked at the Svan, Mocka and Touchwood ones but he doesn't like them. Man I don't think they make a highchair that we both would like. The Nano is nearly there but just not quite.

We have the Mocka wooden one too and it's great as the others have said - stylish, easy to clean and yes it is light.

When we first started looking I fell in love with the Bloom Fresco too but it is absolutely huge - it's definately meant as a statement piece of furniture - I'm a little confused that you say you want one which is easy to move around as the Fresco definately isn't! I'm not sure about the size of the Nano as I haven't seen that in person.

The Mocka plastic highchair is another good one, it's a direct copy of the Ikea highchair which gets huge raves.

we have the mocka wooden one and we love it. It adjusts as they grow and will eventually become a chair. It also fits under the dining table which means its exactly the right height if im sitting on a dining chair or even the couch. I hate our one. It's got lots of additional features, but the fabric is textured, so is impossible to clean. ohh i have a mocka designer. its brilliant.
otherwise theres the new p & t's one put i dont think its out yet, ou'll have to looke on thewre website, my friend has a $700 one its red and goes up to 9 yrs or something as it turns into a chair.

It needs to be light and fold up easy as my parents live in the house behind ours on the same section and we would like to be able to take it to their place when we eat over there. I like the Mocka one but it doesn't look like it would be easy to move around. We don't mind spending the money on one I like but it's finding one that I do like. We'll spend $600 if its what I want

We got a wooden highchair where the chair bit sits on another piece that when they're bigger turns into a table for them to eat lunch at or dinner (which will be us as we dont have a dining table).
I really cant see the point in spending all that money on a plastic/metal piece of crap that will probably break or go rusty anyway! And they never feel stable. My one i've tripped over a dog and fell onto and it didnt fall over. bloody hurt however :P
Have a look on trademe - you can get new ones on there that dont cost you the earth. I the Mocka Designer high chairs, I wish I'd bought one - and they are way cheaper than the flash as Kingston one that I bought for lil miss. They are simple and easy to clean. Ours is OK, it's the Kingston Dinette from TBF and it was about $170. I would recommend one that is actually very simple and plain and that doesn't have any bits that are hard to get to to clean. We got a flash one for DD but my parents got a cheap one that was simple. I wish I had got theirs because it was so easy to clean!!!

Mothercare make some pretty good ones that don't cost much.

Have you considered putting the bouncer on the table or bench while you stand or sit there? I really need to get a high chair. I'm killing my already stuffed back by feeding her in her bouncer or bean bag. I"m not too worried how much we spend(i've been looking at the Bloom Fresco and Nano highchairs $600 for the fresco) but I can't decide.
I thought I'd ask people what have they used and what did they like about it??

Help me please. My mum and dad have offered to buy one but I don't know what to get but I don't want them to spend too much as if I find and like a expensive one, we will buy it ourselves
