My gf's little boy and jake are about 5 days apart ( I think he shares a birthday with Hannah). Jaske went to daycare (still does once a week), but her little boy has never. they have had EXACTLY the same amount of colds.
Also, he was in a walker, Jake wasn't. When Maya is 5 he wants to put her on this machine which will give him a reading on the ocndition of her lungs. He seems to think that she *might* get asthma even tho she doesn't have a wheeze at all.
Re: the inhaler, Maya used to be a nightmare with it, but we found it worked wonders to use an empty inhaler (or take the cyclinder out) and an old/spare spacer and mask so she can give her Fuzzy Bubba the inhaler while she has hers. Just a thought.

He gets hysterical and it is NOT a pleasant experience for anyone involved.
So we went to the doctor again. After gettting fobbed off by the doctors new "radius Palms", decided to go to City Doctors (for those of you not in Palmy - they were on the news for giving the wrong prescription drugs to a little girl - or at least the pharmacy was).
the doctor was FANTASTIC! Said that a diagnosis of asthma is under-3s actually has a 95% mis-diagnosis rate as so many other things cause those asthma like symptoms, so while he MIGHT have asthma, he also might not. I descirbed the dilema of the inhaler and he said not to worry, if it was getting him that upset it wasn't helping. Then gave me some medicine to clear up his chest. He was so good with Jake and Jake didnt' cry at all.
then we went over to the pharmacy, who obviously have had a shake up after the incident. The pharmacist came over and told me ALL about the drugs, when to take them, side effects, what to look for if he reacted to it. Asked me if I had any questions and told me to ringif I did later.
All in all, a fabulaous experince and we were in and out in less than an hour.
It cost me $8 there rather than free, but we got soooo much better service than last time
"he's got asthma - get out"
that I will go there again no problem - I now feel as though I am working for them in marketing.
