They still get quite hot, thats why we only had it on when they were sleeping, and they use less power than an oil heater so we figure in the long run they will be a better choice for us. Just have to be careful not to put anything too close and they have to be on an interior wall. Very easy to put up too. We are happy with ours. We bought them at a placemakers and saved on delivery, and they gave us a discount as they were the last 2 and we had wanted the smaller ones.

is this the econoheat panels? we have been thinking about getting one for Ellas room as well. the last couple of winters we have used an oil heater but now that she is in a bed we can't really use one at night and I thought this would be a good alternative.

We've put one in our nursery too. Haven't had to use it yet though!

We've had one in the dog's kennel for the last year or so though  (I know, I know, but he's a giant wuss and really feels the cold... ) But it's been great - and hasn't made our power bill that much bigger at all...

We have them in the kids rooms, we got them last winter and found they put out alot of heat. We set them on timers to come on just before bedtime for an hour, and at about 4am for a couple of hours. If it was cold during the day then I would put them on when the kids were asleep and turn them off when they got up.

We got them about July, so didn't have them for the whole winter.

We got the bigger size as when I went into placemakers that was all they had.(they were the last 2 and they had sold out in 2 weeks)
