The merino top was a bit of a lightbulb moment because all my other blankets were too big!

Just a pillowcase will suffice to cover the mattress. I also used a bassinet mattress protector at the start but took it off because it was kind of plasticky and negated the whole natural fibre thing. Plus it was his wrap that got wet if there were any spills/nappy leaks.

    Author: monikah
Subject: 25408
Posted: 23 March 2009 at 10:02am

so my MIL is making sheets to go with our hammock even despite that fact she knows we want organic and they are only $9 to buy but what i was wondering is what kind of blankets and bedding you use with your hammock? i dont really know alot about baby beds but i was thinking matress, matress cover, fitted sheet and then a wrap type thing like this one wrap or maybe even just a normal wrap. we have an awesome heat pump through our house so its warm and also an oil heater in our room so i dont think cold will be a problem but i just dont know what kind of blankets babies need especially with a hammck. so to hear what you guys would use and what works well would be awesom. Thanks
