wow 30 weeks! That has gone fast!

Hmmm, thats a hard one, If it were me, I would probably go with an elective C Section, it does sound like the safer option.

Yay Kazzle I can't believe how time has flown!

I have just chosen to go with another elective C as this gives me control over the outcome. Most of the other options seem to lead to an emergency C. They won't induce me for the reason's outlined by Fallen.

I guess you have to really do some soul searching and if you find that the VBAC is really really important to you then maybe give it a shot. yeah i asked them about stopping the injections but they said no, have decided that if they say they are definitley going to induce me then, im just going to go for an elective, would love to try for a vbac but as long as he arrives safely thats all that matters

ooh kazzle just catching up and saw this post. well done for 30 weeks.
not sure what you have decided but did wonder if maybe the injections are still necessary anyway..maybe you could stop them at 38 weeks and labour naturally...?

I was told by my midwife that they don't usually induce people who've already had a c/s as there is increased chance of scar damage.

Because of my last birth experience I'm leaning towards a elective c/s too. thanks guys, and yes the ob talked to me about the possiblity of the induction failing, (which is high since my first one failed).

Personally I would also go for the c/s - I know its not your first choice but its under controlled conditions, you have the date, you know its not going to fail like induction may and you don't end up with the emergency c/s like last time.

I think I would be inclined to go with the c/s to avoid a lot of the anxiety on the day. Has your OB talked about the likelihood of a second failed induction?

If you are induced, (stopping injections the day before, labour 6-8 hours and get nowhere, could you still have a CS under epidural?

Me being me (I like to know things in advance and I like certainty), I *think* I would go with an elective c because of possible extra recovery time after labouring + CS.

well had another growth scan and ob appointment on tuesday just gone and everything is going great so far, he is weighing nicely at 1.13kgs...(was 680gms 4 wks ago).

But now i have some decisions to make, due to being on the clexane injections, if i go into labour naturally and something goes wrong then i have to be knocked out completely (if i have had my injections that day).

SO the ob wants to induce me at 38wks, which in itself i am fine with (the having the baby at 38wks that is)(also having a date means i stop taking my injections the day before so if i need an epidural or anything i can have it), not so keen on the induction.

I had a failed induction with rhiannon which ended in a csection and im not keen to go down that road again, the ob has said if i choose the induction then they will only let me labour for 6-8 hours (which i wouldnt have thought would have been long enough), or i can just bypass it and go straight for a csecion.

I dont know what to do, although im classed as having a highrisk pregnancy its actually the birth that is highrisk, as i run the risk of having to be knocked out, bleeding out (due to the clexane injection), and a few other factors.

I do really want to try for a vbac, but the induction part, been there done that, dont want to do it again, but in saying that i just dont know what to do....and DH isnt any help, he just says to me, "its your body, your decision i will support you no matter what"
