Alex was in a different position every time I went to see the doctor so at 36 weeks I had to have a scan. We didn't have the 3D scan option but I was very impressed with the scan at 36 weeks.....very clear - you could even see all the hair. Like Jack's Mum said - to turn the baby they push on your tummy & sort of hold baby's head in position while they push his bum up & kind of try to turn him. jess if she doesn't turn by 37wks, you should be sent for a scan to make sure, that's what they did with jack anyway.

I had my appointment with my MW last night and baby is in a breech position as well. And two weeks ago he was head down so im hoping he will turn again in the next two weeks before my next appointment. I had this problem too. I was told to lie on my back with my hips up in the air on pillows, or else kneel down with your elbows resting on the floor & bum in the air. Only drawback is you're meant to do it for about 15 minutes at a time twice a day & it gets bloody uncomfortable. My midwife also got me to try pulsatilla (a homeopathic remedy) & acupuncture. In the end none of it worked for me & I ended up having an ECV where they manually turned my baby from outside my tummy. Jess try a google search on optimal foetus positioning. I found some good stuff last week as our bubs is facing out with head down. jack was breech at 34wks and i was told to get down on all fours and rock back and forth, lean over a swiss ball and rock, don't sit with legs crossed ummmmm i'm sure there were a few other things too that i can't think of right now.

My girlfriend got told by her midwife to lie on the floor with her hips up higher than the rest...On pillows. Then get Dad or someone else to go down by your Bum and sing songs or talk...Apparently they like music and sound so they try get closer and turn somehow!! Eeek give me the willies thinking about it!
