I must say, I love the sound on Superdaddy's advice!

As horrible as it sonds, Saffron's advice is the best way to go. Consistency is the key and you will get really sleep deprived, but Ty need to learn that his bed is the place that he needs to sleep.  As DH can move alot easier than you - get him to do the hard work.

yeah i tried that last week he hits his head against anything really hard.(taking him to specialist for that) im still acording to everyone really hard on him when it comes to discipline .

This may sound harsh but I think the only way to get him to stay in his room is the hard way. He is not long off 2yrs so he can definately understand you, explain during the day repeatedly that he is a big boy now and that tonight he is going to sleep in his big boy bed. Then that night (and probably for the next week) you are going to have to be really strong and determined and keep placing him back in to his bed. Be prepared to be very sleep deprived. The first time he gets up he gets a nice, come on darling its time for bed and each time after that you just pick him up and put him back in bed with no discussion. Even if you end up sitting with him until he is calm and falling asleep, or falls asleep, just make sure you keep him in his bed and continue to place him back in bed every time he gets up.
It will take a couple of days but it will be worth the hard work to be able to sleep soundly in your own bed. Soon you are going to be getting up to do night feeds etc and the last thing you need on top of that is getting up to a toddler as well. Trust me, I've just done it myself with only 18mths between Issy and Dom, and its just too hard to be getting up to both. unfortantly we have extrememly small rooms so ther is no way i can put a mattress down for us to sleep on........i cant fit on his bed with him either as im too fat...hubby tried one night but he keeps crying for me and if im there then its dad......he has to have both of us....i would let him cry but he stops breathing so can only leave him for so long...........

i did think about moving into his room but man is that bed not for me............way to soft

have you tried sleeping in his room with him (but on a separate bed)? Whenever Ella is sick she likes to sleep in our bed (which I am not a fan of because she is the most restless sleeper and I end up being kicked out of bed), so I have started sleeping on a mattress in her room and that seems to work just as well- I think it is more the comfort of having someone close by that she likes than actually sleeping in our bed.

If you can get him sleeping in his room with you (or hubby), then you could slowly work of you moving out of the room so that eventually he is in there by himself.

since i was 25weeks my boy (thanks to the dick head father) decided to sleep in our bed and screams everytime we try and take him to his. im really uncomfortable and dont sleep at all cause both him and hubby move around and kick like nothing.........im im really worried that when babe arrives then he will still be in there as he throws the most amazing tanties i want him in his own room , as #2 will be in ours for the fist so many months.
