I think babies go through phases. I'd persist with the vege, but maybe after a short hiatus. Or try mixing the fruit & veg together ... then gradually decrease the amount of fruit so it's mostly veg. Also, some of the vege have a mildly sweet taste, like carrot, kumara and pumpkin ... you could go for those during this fussy stage.

The other thing you could try is giving him a spoon to hold. Have you tried giving vege's for breakfast? My girl went through a stage where she'd only eat once a day, complete with clamped shut mouth and temper tantrum if you came near her with a spoon! She did it for about a month, and then went back to eating really well. Leah is diffenitly a sweet tooth kinda girl, and she would eat fruit but not veg so i started putting apple with her veges and slowy took it out and now she will eat wateva is in front of her!!! Ok, so right after I ask is he eating too much, he has backed right off solids all together.

Is not interested, not upset about it, but sits there with his mouth shut, will still eat fruit for brekky but veg is out, so different to last week where he just couldn't eat enough.

Still drinking all his milk and he's a chubby wee thing so I am not concerned but is this something others have found.
