I love Marian Keyes! Haven't read her books for a while though, will have a look when I take my Whitcoulls voucher shopping
Also I LOVED "I Know This Much Is True", awesome book, and Not Without My Daughter. We have similar taste

My fave author at the mo is Bryce Courtenay - am currently reading Power of One. Before that I read The Persimmon Tree and Whitethorn, and am hoping to get Fishing for Stars for xmas.

I've just finished Diana Gabaldon's "An echo in the bone", which as usual I loved but then I love all her stuff.

I am about to start Dan Browns new book. I was lucky and got 3 new books for my birthday a couple of weeks ago!

I've just finished 'lorelei's secret' by carolyn parkhurst. definitely a worthwhile read but not recommended for you pregnant women whose hormones are flying all over the place lol, it's quite sad and leaves you thinking about things. even i had a wee boohoo

Highly recommend the Stieg Larsson triplogy, am half way through the second book, The Girl Who Played with Fire. The first one was really good. Although am finding it hard to find the time to read with the new addition   

Have the new Marion Keyes one to read next.

I'v just finished the latest Marian Keyes book. It took me a while to get into it, but I enjoyed it overall.
I really liked "I know this much is true" by Wally Lamb. I've also got "the hour I first believed" by Wally Lamb too and have tried to read it a couple of times but I've never had enough time to get stuck into it so never got that far....

I will read ANYTHING (& I really do mean that, I've even read a couple of books about cricket which I can't stand!) although since becoming a mum I don't get through as many books as I once did!

I'm just reading 'the night my bum dropped' by Gretel Killeen. Funny and a very light read (which was great while camping last weekend)

Before that was 'Labyrinth' by Kate Mosse which I found really good. Blurb on the back says "Labyrinth is a reader's Holy Grail, mixing legend, religion, history, parst and present in a heart-wrenching, thrilling tale. Eat your heart out, Dan Brown, this is the real thing" I recommend it to anyone to read.....it was fab

To many favorites to list them all!

Just finished White Gardenia by Belinda Alexander, really enjoyed it, took a while to get into, set in Russian Revolution.

One that I read a wee while ago that really sticks in my mind is 'the ten pm question' by Kate deGoldi, is actually a young adult fiction but anyone would like it, easy to read but a such an engaging story.

Have just finished reading 'Her Fearful Symmetry' by Audrey Niffenegger (author of the Time Traveler's Wife). I highly recommend it. It's a ghost story with some good twists

anyone remember the book club we tried on here once?

I read the Tomorrow series about 3 years ago, and really loved them, but yeah, woulda liked more details, although I guess they weren't written for 30 year olds, lol. I knocked the series off in under a week, i think (alot of late nights..)

I just read a fantastic book called The Woman in the lobby by Lee Tulloch, about a "companion" _ EG a high class hooker. Very good.

Another really good one I read recently was "All we ever wanted was everything". I am finding the "Tomorrow" series hard going at the mo. I am desperate for more details like who is invading and why etc. I think its because you are reading it as an adult Def have to be read all together though otherwise I would be completely confused about what was happening

I'd like to re-read the Tomorrow When The War Began series. I got through 3 books as a teen, so I'd like to re-read them and finish it off.

How are you enjoying the Memory Keeper's Daughter MamaPickle? I just finished that one a few weeks ago, and was a bit 'hmmmm' about it...

I also reckon I should re-read the Tomorrow series. I remember LOVING them when I was at high school. I didn't realise there was a partner series as well - I'll have to dig those out...

I'm nearly finished reading The Buddha of Suburbia by Hanif Kureishi, and am loving it! It's set in London in the 70's / 80's about a half-Indian teenage boy growing up. It's hilarious, but quite bawdy - so maybe not everyone's cup of tea!

I just finished "We Need To Talk About Kevin" by Lionel Shriver. Won the Orange Prize 2005. PS - Peanut - make sure you read the Ellie Chronicles after you have done the Tomorrow books - they are quite important to the story. I'm reading the second book in The Crucible Series by Sara Douglass - I'm not usually into fantasy, but every now and again feel the need for a fantasy 'hit'. Next on the list is the third book in the Twilight Series. I *love* young adult books and have read heaps of them (you'll love Boy in the Stripped PJs Peanut - the movie is no where near as good.) After the teen fix I'll probably read some Lionel Shriver (she wrote 'We need to talk about Kevin') I've got Post Birthday World and another one about families by her. I have STACKS of books to read. Im reading "A durable Fire" its the sequel to "Blood Sisters" by Barbara and Stephanie Keating.

I just finished reading " the wedding officer" i can't remember off the top of my head who its by but i really enjoyed it. Well, I am reading the "Tomorrow when the war began" series...am onto book 5 now and must say am slightly over it now.....have taken a liking to young adult fiction at the mo as much easier to read with my tired wee brain

Ok well I thought Id start a thread about books as im a dedicated reader.
Im reading K Is For Killing by Daniel Eastman. This book is set in America in the 1940s and is about the Ku Klux Klan.
Im enjoying this book because even though its fiction there is a lot of truth in it.
