I am getting better at changing him standing up though - even in cloth! (doesn't make him cry either)<br />If it is just awet nappy then I change him standing up, he stays still for longer. I usually put somethign that he like son the armrest of the couch and he will stand there til I'm finished. ]]>

I think we are going to have change on the floor now and not the change table as it was nigh on impossible to get it done up there with the desperate arching/twisting/kicking etc etc <br /><br />We did the distraction thing for months successfully but nothing cuts the mustard now, not even letting him play with the wipes or clean nappy which always did the trick in the past.<br /><br />Frustrating!!!!]]>

I use all sort of things from letting Emma play with the odd toy she doesn't normally get (tape measure, little bottles, clean nappy) to singing songs/making animal noises and kissing her to distract her. Also working really quickly so she can't get bored.]]>

Caden is SO SO bad at this and it drives me mental, he gets so angry when I'm dressing him and changing his nappies. It works wonders!<br /><br />So I suggest you find a small toy that he is fascinated with and keep it by the change table, just for change time.]]>

It sounds awful but I think the simplest way is to get it over and done with really fast. If you stick with it, they seem to get used to staying still on their own after not too long (it just feels long at the time).]]>

He rolls, screams, archs his back, crawls off and more. It takes all my energy just to keep him still. <br />I know its probably a phase but please any ideas would be great!<br />My currant solution and its not working all that well is to pin him down under my leg while he wails and screams. I don't want nappy and dressing time to remain this stressfull! Help!]]>
