Maybe she's trying to get out?! (her Mummy fervently hopes lol). <IMG src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0">&nbsp;Sometimes she hiccups and kicks at the same time, which is weird. </P><P>I'm glad it's a good sign, but&nbsp;isn't it must be a bit worrying once they're out and doing it though? <IMG src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0"></P><P>Mel- aaargh 4 weeks (or less!!!!) to go! The poor midwife had to wait for the hiccups to pass as his heart rate went up with them and she had to make sure it was the hiccups and nothing else. <br /><br />He is quite a hiccupy baby too. At least once a day, he doesnt mind them though... <br /><br />Eeek Karen, 4 weeks to go!!!!]]>

It is a good sign, I didn't really mind them and when her movements slowed as she neared due date I began to appreciate them as I knew she was okay in there.. I actually found them quite painful but there is nothing you can do and it is good for them to get them because its there lung getting some exercise. <br />Actually while I was in labour my boy got the hiccups and now that is a very painful experience so maybe whenever she gets them you could gently rub your bump and tell her now is a good time for hiccups but not when your in labour. lol.]]>

Ours goes crazy with the hiccups...as in at least twice daily, sometimes more!<IMG src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0">&nbsp;They can be huge massive ones where my whole stomach moves or small ones where it's just affecting her bum or her foot lol.</P><P>I know it's normal for them to do this and isn't meant to be distressing to them like it can be for us but boy oh boy, this little girl can hiccup for Africa and it can go on for ages!<IMG src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0">&nbsp;I'm not sure if I can do anything to help her (or me!) and it doesn' t seem to have a pattern in which it follows a paticular food....just food in general I think lol.
