I know Karen, I couldnt quite believe my own ears when I said it out loud!

Its amazing how quickly those hormones make you forget

But dont worry, I wont be jumping DH any time soon! We will discuss it again after Jakes first birthday.

nah , im mean , once she was out and doing it, and i didnt have to feel it , I thought it was funny , but as my book says it doesnt cause them the same discomfort as it does us, but if its worrying you , best thing for it , is a breast feed .

Oh it's reasurring to know baby hiccups are so common and not distressing to them lol.

Kelly- she's started doing it about 6 weeks ago but the last 3 weeks or so has gone CRAZY with hiccupping lol. Maybe she's trying to get out?! (her Mummy fervently hopes lol).  Sometimes she hiccups and kicks at the same time, which is weird.

I'm glad it's a good sign, but isn't it must be a bit worrying once they're out and doing it though?

Mel- aaargh 4 weeks (or less!!!!) to go! I'm aiming for a 38 week delivery lol. Better not go over. Hmmmm. Not that I haven't loved being pg....

My son got hiccups constantly when i was pregnant with him. It used to drive me crazy sometimes. lol. Jake got hiccups all the time, I hated it.. still makes me shudder thinking about it.

At one point during induction I had the monitor on, he got the hiccups for 45 minutes!!!!! The poor midwife had to wait for the hiccups to pass as his heart rate went up with them and she had to make sure it was the hiccups and nothing else.

He is quite a hiccupy baby too. At least once a day, he doesnt mind them though...

My DD would get them at least twice a day, only little ones though that I would only feel if I was sitting. It is a good sign, I didn't really mind them and when her movements slowed as she neared due date I began to appreciate them as I knew she was okay in there.. Gabrielle got hiccups three times a day at the same times every day :) It was quite spooky. This baby has just started to get them and I think she had them about 5 times yesterday.

My boy got hiccups all the time while I was pregnant with him. I actually found them quite painful but there is nothing you can do and it is good for them to get them because its there lung getting some exercise.

Samantha used to get them all the time too - the funny thing is once she came out she got them alot for the first month or so as well.

I remember Bailey doing that for what felt like all day everyday!!!!!! and it ertainly did get old super fast!!

How often does your bubba hiccup in your tummy? Ours goes crazy with the hiccups...as in at least twice daily, sometimes more! They can be huge massive ones where my whole stomach moves or small ones where it's just affecting her bum or her foot lol.

I know it's normal for them to do this and isn't meant to be distressing to them like it can be for us but boy oh boy, this little girl can hiccup for Africa and it can go on for ages! I'm not sure if I can do anything to help her (or me!) and it doesn' t seem to have a pattern in which it follows a paticular food....just food in general I think lol. Is she just like her Daddy and eating her 'food' too quickly do you think?!
