Hi
Can anyone recommend an osteopath in Auckland. I wouldn't be happy for any manipulation or anything like that, but I've also been told its good to get them checked out. AngelNZ - Yeh thats what i was thinking, i have heard all sorts of stories about the reason for newborns to scream alot is due to the birth and how traumatic it is?

Aimmejoy - Thats ok everyone is entitled to their own opinion, i personally am not a fan of physio or osteo's. yeah i took my girls to an osteo. And it was so lovely they were very relaxed and its amazing what they pick up on just from feeling the babies head. its not cheap at bout $45 a time and each of my girls went 4-5 times. I know mums that have done it I think and worked for their bubs. I would never take my baby (or myself for that matter) to a chiropractor. Maybe an osteopath, but not a chiro. Different philosophy and theories of treatment to my own... Oh yeah, I had (still have) a little girl with a sweet personality, she was a very happy baby and sleep for 3-4 hour stretches as a newborn. My DP's dad wanted to get one for Ella. In the end I decided against it as I really didn't know that much about it. Apparently they get aligned or something, i have heard its quite important if baby was born by a c-section something to do with not naturally aligning coz they were born vaginally.

Im gonna ask her about what they do etc when i see her next but was just wondering if anyone had it done

Who is gonna take their baby to a chiropractor specialised in babies and pregnant women to be treated?

I was thinking about it and i spoke to a new dad and he takes his son and he said he highly recommends it coz they didnt do it with the first and the main things they have noticed is that baby sleeps better and is alot more alert and friendly not grumpy etc
