    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=19393">MrsMojo</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 26576<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 May 2009 at 8:05am<br /><br /><P>Babies and toddlers go through stages where they are more attached to their main caregiver.&nbsp; It's heart breaking for the other caregiver and exhausting and frustrating for the main caregiver (I have been through the stages from both sides).</P><P>IMO there are two ways you could approach it.</P><P>Soft approach would be for DH to get in the bath with Caden but you actually bath him.&nbsp; First day you'd be there for the whole bath, next day you'd leave for a few minutes then come back and each night thereafter you'd leave for a bit longer until DH is bathing Caden by himself.</P><P>Hard approach is to get yourself and DH some earplugs for bathtime<IMG src="http://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0"> and DH stay in the bath with him and bath him&nbsp;for a full bath time without you 'rescuing' Caden.</P><P>Either way I think DH should actually get in the bath with him because kids love that.&nbsp; It probably wouldn't hurt for DH to bring him a new bath toy or some bubbles or something and make a big fuss about bath time being Daddy/Caden time.</P>]]>

We ended up putting Sam in the bath with Daddy and now she loves it!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;It still took a couple of baths for her to get completely happy with it, but I just stayed beside the bath to make sure she was ok.<br />Now she gets so excited on Daddy bath nights. Or maybe fill up a tub with water and play in that?  Is he OK with you bathing him??  We've had issues with Daniel and the bath and ended up with DH taking him swimming today - thought we'd try him just having fun in water and hopefully it'll make it easier. Don't know if there are any pools in Puke?  Maybe it's just a case of being consistent (ie not giving him the option of mum coming in to help out) and eventually he'll get that this is the only program available???]]>

As soon as DH putshim in there bath and starts to wash him Caden howels, he has tried everything to make bath time fun for Caden, but he wont have a bar of it.<br /><br />Does anyone else have this problem? Where there kids/babies wont let dad bath them??
