I have the same problem with water/taps, never struck it before and we moved to where we are quite recently...kinda surprised me first time gross coloured water came out.

I think there is supposed to be something that cleans kettles out? No idea what it's called, but I need to get some. Just boil some white vinegar in it (dilute it a bit and don't fill it up to high). Baking Soda??? I hear that works on everything.

Oh- or perhaps that stuff people use to clean their dentures???? My mum uses that to clean her tea stained cups lol.....
