I felt like that at times just from feeling exhausted. I also worried that I couldn't love my #2 baby as much as #1. I'm finding I'm not as excited this time around either (second baby). Time seems to be dragging - but I know I'll start getting more excited after 20 weeks and we find out if bubs is a boy or a girl and we're on the countdown to the birth. I didn't get *really* excited til about 19 weeks. My partner being in hospital might have had something to do with that though.

this is my 4th and am surprised im not all that excited this time, with my last baby i was soo excited, atm im still in the early weeks so it could just be my way of dealing with any disappointment incase of a mc some, i dont get much ms and atm im not even finding im as tired as i was with the other 3 so it doesnt even seem all that real.
like sheena alot of the time i forget im even preg but with the other 3 all day everyday being preg was constantly on my mind.

I felt the same way with this pregnancy, Im still not even really that excited, just nervous and scared I'll have another crap labour or c section!
I mean Im super happy to be pregnant again, but there isnt the same feelings as a first pregnancy as nothing is really new, and you kind just take it in your stride and get on with it. I guess I have actively tried not to get excited. There are so many hurdles to get through and I just worry that there might be something wrong every step of the way - I guess this comes from having a few things that were worrying first time around.

I am also scared about what life is gonna be like having two children, remembering back to how it was when Charlotte was a newborn and how hard it was with feeding and sleeping - and now I will have a preschooler to look after too.

i was soooo excited with my second bubs cos he took so long to concieve but this time i didnt get excited until i was around 8 months!!! i wondered if i would ever get excited!!1

i guess as the more kids you have the more relaxed you get - with my first birth i wanted DH to be there every minute holding my hand even when i was asleep and i wanted him to have 2 weeks off after i had bub....
then number 2 i was more relaxed - as long as he drove me to hospital and had his phone on i was algood! - made him go to physio, go shopping, take bay out for day etc all while i was in labour!!! didnt see the point in him sitting there watching me suck gas and read a mag!!!....

I totally understand !
Last pregnancy all my thoughts were consumed up of baby , what she would look like, what it would be like, what her future would hold ....this time, I struggle to picture him, I don't really think of him as existing outside my tummy , apart from when he moves , I feel like hes just a lump under my clothes .
Im not writing him letters, I have to make a concious effort to talk to him .
But everything Ive read about 2nd pregnancies says this is normal, and doesnt have any bearing on how you feel once they are here .
