I'm moving down there this coming weekend for 3 or 4 months.
I've been wondering the same thing about coffee groups etc, as the only person I know down there is my DP.

Thanks katep i will make sure i check that stuff out! I dont mind about the young people as i am only 20 and will be studying so ill prob love it!

Ive only heard great things to be honest, and im actually really looking forward to moving. I loved Dunedin. I was there for 5 years studying/working. Everyone goes on about how cold it is (which it is) but there are also beautiful days there....you just need to learn how to dress for them.

The Art Gallery is awesome and the Museum is a must as well. The old buildings are beautiful. St Clair beach is gogeous on a good day.
Awesome resturants and bars! Be prepared for HEAPs of young people, they go away in summer though....which is nice!

I have no idea what sort of things there are for babies and groups....as like I said I was there as a student so spent the majority of time in bars. Hey ladies,

just wondering if any mummies are from Dunedin?

Im a single mum and my DD and I will be moving down south at the end of the month.

Ive never even been to the south island before so im looking for info about what its like, what there is to do there, what i should be prepared for etc. oh and also maybe if there are any coffee groups or something?
