It did get a very tight thin piece of skin over it but was ok. Sometimes if baby was sitting in the wrong spot it hurt to touch or if bumped cos it would stretch, but otherwise was all good, left the flexi bar in for a couple of weeks afterwards until tummy had gone down a bit then changed back to normal belly bar. you could see if though my clothes too with my big preggy tummy but it wasn't that bad.

I also found i never got any stretch marks around it but alot of those i know who took it out had it turn into a stretch mark itself.

I guess it's a personal decision and also dependant on how stretched the skin there gets.
good luck

I don't think I'll put it back in. I really loved it but figure I'll be 30 at the end of the month and have a post baby body so maybe that 'stage' of my life is over lol.
You can get flexi bar things that accomodate your growing stomach so you don't have to take it out. Looking at my belly button now though I hate to imagine what it might look like if I still had my piercing in. Pretty munted i guess

I'd had it for 10 years and didn't want to part with it! The decision to take it out was made when it didn't sit right anymore and started to hurt when I bumped it.
