you will be absoluety fine to do that flight..

i just flew from London to wellington at 30 weeks.. although it was long - its bareable...

a short flight like that will be a breeze !!

Most airlines have a cut off at 36 weeks and require a letter from your doc.

Hi there on air nelson and eagle flights you shouldnt have a problem cause your flights no longer that 4 hours. (Air NZ domestic) Just ask when booking they might want you to have a letter from your midwife. In saying that a Pilot does have the right to refuse once you get there (never happens) which may be considered if it looks as though through flight planning there is going to be severe turbulence etc. But again Ive never actually heard of this happening. (Im a pilot). Do you have flight socks you could wear? That'd help prevent swelling and blood clots. Rach, she is coming up for a week, 2 weeks after my due date. She is a lecturer so holidays need to be made in advance. I sent her belly photos yesterday, and I think she is feelinga little left out for not being able to see me when pregnant.

unfortionately it would involve 2 flights each way. If you do go up to Napier, try and get the direct flight. I've ended up waiting in Wellington airport due to delays often!
I flew from Napier to Dunedin two weeks ago. Oh she would be fine, It would just mean that it wil only be for a short weekend though. If I was to go then I could go for 5 days and that would help pass time. Will think about both options a bit more...but you are both right, it would make sense for her to come to me. I flew from Brisbane to London and return at 20 weeks. It was tough going and exhausting being long haul but I didnt have any issues with it at all. Oh except the flight back my legs were swelling like Ive never seen before.

I flew from Chch to Auckland and back around the 30week mark.. It was fine, but I would strongly suggest you wear some loose footwear! My mum is desperately wanting me to come and see her before baby comes. I would be flying from Chch to Napier and about 36 weeks pregnant and returning maybe 5 days later.
Have had a search on Air NZ site but can't find the info. Does anyone know their policy with flying when pregnant?
