thanks for the support guys...i'm holding my breath...two more days until I go for the scan...I think I will be in the March group...but only just as it could be late Feb too...based on LMP it should be about 2 March..I didn't know you could buy a doppler, where did you get it and how early can you hear the heartbeat?

I mc'd on my first pregnancy at 7 weeks in April this year, I fell pregnant a week or two later and am still pinching myself to make sure I'm actually pregnant.. we had one scan done at 9weeks 4 days and saw the baby and the heartbeat. I have chosen not to have any scans again until 20 weeks and I worry every day that something bad will happen but it hasn't! It would make life a lot easier if I could see a bump or something but it will come soon enough I just bought a doppler off trade me so I can hear the heart beat myself and I can't wait for that!

History: I had 2 mc's and then a biochemical mc.

Got pregnant with my girl and from that moment I knew it was different, or so I thought. STarted with heavy bleeding but when we went in it was a twin that I was losing but she had a heartbeat. With bedrest and progesterone she was just perfectly fine. But it was a real hard first few weeks. I literally counted every minute of every day to 12 weeks and it was made worse that I was on complete bedrest. But so so worth it.

Then this time I fell pregnant as soon as we tried and I thought oh no, it was way too easy so I sort of just expected that I will mc. So everyone said congrats and I stopped them. I couldnt get happy until we got to 12 weeks and even then I was petrified something will happen. (jsut because it happend so fast and easy, seemed that it should have been another difficult road or something).

My only advice I can give is: Take it a minute at a time if you get overwhelmed and do enjoy every minute that you can when you can. First, congrats on falling pregnant again!

I fell pregnant after 9 months of TTC after our miscarriage (which we found out at 12w the baby had stopped growing at just under 9w).

I was so careful throughout the first half of my pregnancy and probably, looking back, quite paranoid.
But I think thats ok, as its pretty traumatic going through a m/c, no matter what anyone else says.

Every week I made it through another week was a milestone and I even bought myself a doppler off trademe so I could hear the heartbeat on days that I just didn't feel pregnant or didn't feel as much movement.
I also had hcg blood tests every week until about 8 weeks pregnant and got an early scan at 9 weeks (1 day past the date that the previous babies heart had stopped beating) then again at the NT scan at 12 weeks was another celebration (and it became real!) After the 19 week scan I told myself that if the bubs held on at least til 24 weeks then there would be a good chance of survival if it arrived early - but she came at 39 weeks and was perfect!

Its great on this site, as there are so many girls who have gone through this, so there is a great support network available! Don't be scared to ask Q's or voice your concerns! Congratulations busybee. I had a MC with my first pregnancy and was so worried during my second - the whole way through really, but it turned out absolutely fine. Now with my third pregnancy i'm waiting to get past that same time and then maybe i'll relax a bit.

I am going to the doctor for a scan in a week from now for the first time and she said she would like to see me around every week or so for the first couple of weeks so that we can keep an eye on things. She's really nice. I'll probably know late this afternoon what the results for all the bloodtests were. it definatley helps getting it out there and talking about it. I had such a hard time and left it for a few months til i could chat online, but felt so much support it got me through the worse, fell pregnant again soon after, but still, each time I found it hard going to scans, I still had that fear that bubs didn't make it, but this preg is going along so well that each day Im thankful. I would say no news is good news and MW and doctors tend to contact you straight away when they have doubts or if somethings wrong...

Anytime hon - its the best thing about this website. I found it during my MC and joined up not long after - its been an absolute life saver!
Its hard for both of you and hopefully it won't be long before you can start to feel more excited about this pregnancy (you will feel funny for a while yet)

I had the same timings as you with my first MC. Your feelings are very normal as i was so worried the whole pregnancy. Dont worry honey you are not alone. I know have a little princess that is 11 weeks old and have forgotten those feelings of certainity as got to deal with Miss Shoutypants now.

it really is normal to feel that way and sadly i know the pain of missed mc... and i spent all of E's pregnancy super stressed and wished I hadn't then i had another mc and now am trying to chill...it's very hard but you just have to think it's a different baby and just think positive really..i know it's easier said than done.. !

after a heartbeat at 8 weeks your chances are way way down...but still 5% and unfortunately some people fall into that percentage:(

its great you are getting hcg tests etc I never did and that might have helped me stop stressing so much!!:( best wishes!

I'm currently pregnant straight after a MC in dec 08, I certainly wasn't expecting anything to happen straight away - it took ages to get our first bubs so we just assumed it would be another wait.

I think I'm only now starting to feel confident that this wee one is sticking in there - its feeling the kicks that helps me.
I had loads of Hcg tests at the begining - I kinda got the impression at first it was to check I was actually pregnant again and not just leftover hormones.

I reckon its completely normal to feel freaked out during a pregnancy after a MC - unfortunately there are loads of us on here! But that does mean you can vent online here anytime you feel werid/scared/freaked and there is always help nearby!

I'm pg now with identical twin girls after 3 m/c in a row - all at early gestation. I was nervous at the start, and was basically in denial until I actually started to feel them kicking. I couldn't believe I was actually pregnant, even though I was growing so rapidly, and had quite a few scans.

I had a m/c with my first pregnancy, baby stopped growing at 5 weeks. So when i fell pregnant again I was so scared, and then I started bleeding again and thought I was going to m/c again, but I didnt and the result of that pregnancy has just turned One year old So like nzpiper said, things can go well after a m/c.

I found the first weeks pretty scary and nerve racking as you don't want to get your hopes up too much but you really can't help it!
Im now 27 weeks pregnant after a m/c at about 6weeks. Everything is going fine.
I found that rescue remedy was my friend during those first few weeks and also finding the positives, since your doctor hasnt contacted you about your HCG's then it must be good news!

Try to enjoy this pregnancy, i know it is hard and i worried about m/cing until about 22 weeks which is just silly but after a lose you tend to try to protect yourself!

Its def more nerve-racking once you've had a mc. You aren't alone in the way you feel hun alot of us have had atleast one mc and often multiples (I had approx 4 before this BFP) and from what I've seen in the due date threads everyone is atleast a little nervous bub won't stick. Stay positive and enjoy every moment as much as you can

I had a mc a couple of months ago. We saw the heartbeat at little over 6 weeks and 4 weeks later we found out that the development stopped at about 8 weeks. It was so unreal as we had told our friends and family as they say your chances to mc drops dramatically once you see the heartbeat. We weren't ready to give it a go straight away but my cycles were so messed up I don't think even if I paid any attention I would have been able to get the timing right.
But we got over it and I am lucky as apparently I get pregnant really easy and I am now 5 weeks along...heres to hoping this little one sticks around...it is a nerve wracking wait to see if it all works out ok...I am trying to stay calm and relaxed about it but it is kinda hard.
My obgyn is keeping and eye on me and has sent me for regular hcg tests to monitor my hormones and i am to see her next week at 6 weeks. I am actually really scared about it.
