I couldn't see why not - although in a closed room it does tend to get quite humid, muggy and rainforest-like so you might want to leave a door open etc (which of course would reduce the effectiveness). I probably wouldn't use anything additional in the water though.

we've got one too - it didn't help Natalie that much in the past (as it turned out her nasal congestion was allergy related, rather than a normal snotty nose), but it certainly cleared up our noses every time we went into the room! I like how you can easily add oils etc to the water, so can make it even more effective. Yep we went and got one for Isabelle last time she had a cold .. she was finding it hard to breathe at night and was constantly waking up crying.

I went and bought one and that very night she slept through! So I think they rock!
