Are they those Babylove ones? I tried a sample and it was great and the next one would be one wee wee and she would have those jelly crystals everywhere so I have up

We've used the Pams ones too, but they seemed to vary from pack to pack. It all depends on the size / length of your baby, either get nappies on special or you can actually ring them up, say your expecting and if they can send you a sample pack - try treasures, huggies, and nappies for less / nappies direct. - Nappies for less chain send about 5 - 8 different sorts out as that is what they stock (they get the foreign nappies, cosies, softway etc)

Lol I never liked Huggies, didn't seem to fit Ella properly.

Josiah was a really little baby... he's still quite small (13 months old and 8kg, he's only grown 2cm in length in the last 3 months) and the Huggies fit him best. I agree with Emma...huggies are really small. I mean Zaara is 7 month old and is wearing toddler???

But they are the best one out there. I bought 20 packs of 24 Giggles new born and went thru it all. ended up buying 2 boxes of 108 huggies. However being a new mum I use to change her every half an hour......so I might have used up too many like that!

Depends on your baby really. I second the buying them on special.

I bought 2 packs of newborn Treasures Giggles, and 'aquired' one pack of Huggies newborn from Birthcare. I'm glad I didn't buy any more than that as Maya was in the next size up by 2-3 weeks as she was such a decent size when she was born.

I personally prefer not to use Huggies as Maya has always been a long skinny baby and the Huggies seem to be cut really short. She is 17kg now and doesn't fit the Junior size Huggies anymore even tho she is within the weight range.

We used cloth during the day, and Treasures Ultra at night. They just seemed to have a better fit.

I've bought 2 packs of newborn Giggles, one of Ultra and been given two packs of Huggies newborn so far for the twins, because I am anticipating they will be smaller and stay in newborn for longer (and also coz there are two of them!)

I agree with all of the above however rather then buying a box I would buy packet's that way if baby is a bit bigger then you thought you can alway's change them at the supermarket most are happy to do this without a docket. I know we did at the supermarket I worked at. It can work out a little more then the box, but alway's buy nappies when they are on special I have never paid full price for a packet of nappies at least one supermarket has them onspecial each week.

Hi Shelleybean,

When our daughter was born we found that huggies newborn nappies were the best for her. I think it is very dependant on the size and shape of your baby as to what fits best, but Ella just seemed to leak or explode out of treasures. This time round we have grabbed a box of 100 huggies newborn nappies on special, so hopefully they'll be as good for our little guy too!
You do need a lot of nappies in those first weeks, as you tend to change at every feed, and in between when explosions occur. Hey there ladies - I need your opinions please. As you are all aware this is out first pregnancy - so we arnt 100% sure on what is the best nappie for a new born baby.

1. How many should we buy of new born and what do you recommend?

2. How many should we get of the next size up?
