As a nanny myself, i was on $18 an hour as a self contractor. if you have a nanny in your home, you will be paying between $16 - $25/hr depending on qualifications, experience etc.

If you are looking at home care (sending child to someone elses home,) You will be looking between $3 - $10/hr. I was paying my nanny (thru Homegrown Kids, similar to Porse) $16 when she first started, now I pay her $20 an hour as she's been with us 2 years and her role is now much more demanding than it used to be (she went from having the gremlins 12 hours a week while I worked from home to having 3 under 3 and doing all the 'mum' things like school run, after school activities etc. while I work outside the home). There is always the option of a student nanny, I know the one in Welly does some in-home placements. Might be a cheaper option if you are wanting someone in the home.

I am a porse caregiver, but work in my own home. Thats a much cheaper option again.
