Blair's another one..... I can always tell the moment he wakes from his afternoon sleep because of the crying. I just grab a blanket, and we often just sit on the couch and have snuggles. Chloe does this a lot... I just let her chill out on the couch with some music and her dummy and "baby" for about 10 mins or so, then she seems to come right. Yea I think it may have something to do with sleep cycles

Liam is often like this too, although I'd say he's more grumpy than sad . It doesn't seem to matter if he's had a short or long sleep...

I have tried everything from reading quietly to him, offering water and food, cuddles etc but so far I have found nothing that works for him. He eventually comes right but it can take quite a while some days.

ETA: maybe they're waking in the middle of a sleep cycle & feel like cr.p??

Jackson is also always at his grumpiest after his late afternoon nap. Cranky pants. Of course, that instantly changes as soon as Daddy comes up. Then it's all love, light and laughter. DH doesn't believe me what a horror he is!!

PS - Isabella is a lovely name Sheena. It's one I really like but can't convince DH. Yep K is the same, sometimes after his morning nap but more often after his afternoon one. Usually when I try and get him dressed, I figure he just doesn't know what he wants, he wants to get up but he's still a little bit tired. Hannah did it a couple of months back.
About a week or waking up crying and taking a while to settle down.

Yup Daniel has. I figured that it was when he had woken up a teeny bit early. He still does this sometimes. Im just wondering if anyone elses baby/toddler has done this at Cadens age?

Caden, for the last month or so has been waking up really really sad and grumpy from his afternoon naps. It takes me a good 10 mins of cuddles and soft talking to get him to come right He starts crying and has big fat tears and looks really unhappy!
But then he he will perk up after a while though.

He used to wake up a happy chappy, but not anymore. He is fina after a morning sleep, its just the afternoon ones he seems to do this.
