Hmmm I text her once when I had my huge bleed. Other than that I have only actually seen her twice. The other two times I have seen some other midwives at her practice!!


As long as she is good at birth I dont care about anything else!

I have rung my midwife  about 3 times so far. I think that you should ring your midwife as much as you feel u need to. That is what she is there for. its their job. I ring mine a fair bit. well not really ring I text her lot's which is great that way if she is busy she just get's back to when she can. I've found this website the best for info and advice so I have only called her 2 or 3 times at the most (3rd time was this morning lol). But in saying that I have had a very easy trouble free pregnancy *touches wood* so I haven't needed to talk to her other than at normal appointments

The only time I've rung my midwife was to make an appointment to meet her!

I know I can ring her whenever I need to, just haven't had to yet. I rang her twice when I had bleeding, once after my 9 week scan to tell her there were two babies, and a few times since then just to sort out the shared care arrangement with the OB. I have been ringing my midwife quite often over the last 6 weeks, cos been having lots of problems with headaches/ blurred vision/ low BP. She has also been coming here once a week, and even came to my Ob appt at the hosp. I have been feeling a bit guilty about needing her so often, but have only rang when I am getting desperate. Talked to her about it and she is more happy for me to ph, than worry. I can text her with non- urgent stuff.

Ive phoned her a couple of times but thats only because of the diabetes and once the other day regarding pains/discharge and also to chase up the hospital regarding the diabetes. I will ring my midwife anytime there is something that worries me, that I can't find an answer to myself. This time its been about 4 times i think?? I have a doctor but I can call her any time I need to. So I haven't! I don't know if it's that I'm pretty easy going with everything or what but I haven't felt the need. We've always covered everything in the visits and everything else has been answered here.

I am one of those people who rang her midwife often....I was a very paranoid 1st time pregnant woman....I am sure she was sick of me!!

Hee hee funny, I just hung up from her!! It's funny, because I have friends that ring there m/w all the time, and I think to myself gosh they must get sick in tired of such in such ringing. I know its there job - but you know, we are only human.
