Also I have been using a bit of baby oil in the shower on my warm skin and it seems to have a better effect than layering moisturiser on - your skin absorbs it better after showers (altho I do that was well).

I found this one on the University of Maryland Medical Centre site - http://www.umm.edu/altmed/ConsHerbs/Marshmallowch.html
I was surprised to learn that there was a plant called the marshmallow - however, if you can find marshmallow root at a health store, it may be worth a try. It's listed as safe for pregnancy - and is also good for colds and sore throats.

Have you tried rubbing on something like lipobase repair or really heavy duty moisturisers? You could also change the soap you use in the bath/shower to one that has a high fat content or glycerin (sometimes soap can remove the sebum from your skin, making it drier still) - oh, and put moituriser on while your skin is still wet.

It is getting worse as the pregnancy gets further. I havent taken any form of skin supplement since I have been pregnant but I was wondering if I could take something? My skin is dry and I am worried taht teh dryness will make stretchmarks even worse as there wont be much elasticity in teh skin, but is it safe ot take? Or is there something similar I can take if it is not?
Thanks
