Its so strange I wonder why our bill is so high, we would use it prob less that you Milliemoo. Hopefully it will go down in the next bill if not we will be getting some things checked. We've just started using an oil fin heater. Never needed any heating before, but this winter's been cold

I was really worried about what the bill was going to be like. We don't use it every day, maybe 4 days of the week and on average 8hrs at a time on high.

We got our first full months bill and it was only $119 Our usual bill is about $80. We also have electric blankets on every night, but they're cheap as chips to run.

Ok so I will leave ours on low all the time and see how we go, I use to turn it off when it got hot and the one in the bedroom wasn't on during the day only turned it on at night. We have 2 of them (one for each girls room) and 1 is left on all day on low since Kayla still naps during the day. Alyssa's only goes on when it's particularly cold. Yup, ditto to what everyone said. Last year we had a $700 power bill - we were using the oil heater on high non-stop for most of July. It's much more economical to leave them ON, set on a LOW setting, all the time. Hi everyone,

We have 2 oil fin heaters, one small one for Arianne's room and one big on for the lounge.

We have just had the highest power bill EVER I won't say how much some might have a heart attack.

I have heard that if you leave them on all the time on low they don't cost as much money to use.

Is this true??
