I asked her how she was getting on when I visited her at home and she said she was doing great but she did have DS downstairs with her during the day. She also stayed in hospital for 6 nights after the birth so got LOTS of rest before she came home. I reckon if you have loads of help and can have bubs downstairs during the day you would be OK sleeping upstairs at night

Maybe at night i could crawl my way upstairs but during the day get DH to drag the bassinet downstairs. Luckily i will have my 14 year old at my place for hols and my 5 yr old is a great helper and my DH will be on hols.......so i should have plenty of helpers and if i can avoid the stairs and only do once a day at night.........

Bedrooms upstairs, toilet and kitchen downstairs. If I did it again, I'd put a bed and bassinet downstairs for a week. I coped ok, but I have to admit there were days I crawled up the stairs it hurt so much - down was easy. up was hard.

I always always hold onto the rail and dont know how easy it will be to hold onto rail while holding onto baby at same time........

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated
