like surfergirl said clove oil is great or even if you have cloves in your cupboard shove a couple in your cheek around the tooth. Also I found nuerofen plus (with the codeine in it) is probably the best thing to take the edge off.

Get some cepacol from the chemist, it is a topical anaesthetic mouthwash. It really works, and only costs about 13$

Yea i've taken a few neurofen so hopefully that will do the trick.. yep I was going to say you can chew on a clove or get clove oil. Or chew on some oregano leaves if you have them growing in your garden.
