Well most would travel anyway but the the ones where I know the owners/plumbers (well DH does) are:

Graeme Sinclair Plumbing
Jarvis Plumbing
Virtual Plumbing
Blakemore & Lee Plumbing

DH used to work as a plumbing rep so we know a lot of them through work as well as socially. One of our good friends works with Grame Sinclair, Jarvis Plumbing also just replaced the water heater at my grandmas place and the quote was very very reasonable.

The top 3 are all hutt based, Blakemore & Lee are city based and I don't know them personally but I know that DH always thought highly of them.

Philpots , he used to do contract work for us and was generally great for our installations. Really nice guy too. i think he is based in Tawa. I don't have any recommendations, but I'll be watching closely. Can anyone recommend a plumber in the Wellington region?

We need someone to come and look at the Header tank in the attic and give us some options/prices for replacement or alternatives.

I would rather have a recommendation than pick someone at random out of the yellow pages
