I went shopping for mine at 38weeks baby came at 39 so just in time lol.

I went to a proper lingerie shop she faced mw towards a mirror and walked away came back with my size. I have a triumph and a hot milk one worth the price.

I have the bub2b or whatever they are from kmart and find that the cut means I am falling out of it especially when I am full and it can be kinda uncomfortable and more likely to leak. I think it is well worth going to a specialist by this Imean a lingerie shop like bendon who this is their business as they can fit properly.

I like to buy a couple in my normal size and a few in the next cup up. For me I find that intially my boobs are huge but once the milk supply settles then my regular size is fine. Most say fit at 36 weeks, cause baby will have dropped a little bit so your rib expansion won't be so much.

Definitely worth paying slightly more for a bra that will last.

I found Motherlove by bendon utter crap even though they cost a fair bit. I'd go with what your MW said. Me too! Got some from the same shop for the same price! I second this i have 2 womama bras in the same style but different material and on is too big and the other a little tight but they are the same size.

I would also say, cheapies for now and get refitted around 36weeks and dont skimp! If you are like me and have a active let down you will need to wear a bra ALL the time! There is nothing worse than an ill fitting bra. I wish I had just spent the money up front, i have wasted money on cheap bras and now have to go and get good ones anyway. i used the nurture ones last time and they were great when i was pregnant and early breastfeeding but after a while i started to feel bleh in them because they were so plain - that was when henry was about 4months old. I then got a hotmilk one online on special and that was nice but i have recently found the ones i like best from bras n things the womana brand. THey are really comfy - i think its because they have such a wide back. Anyway got one on special for $15 which is cheaper than the nurture ones if i remember correctly and its all pretty and stuff lol.

Cheap maternity bras - Nurture brand from Farmers. So comfy!!

I bought a couple of Bendon maternity bra's but I haven't worn then since I had my son as I am now up a cup size.

I had to get some new bras at 8 weeks as my other ones were just too damn uncomfortable. I was fitted probably about 12-15 weeks and stayed that size until bubs was born, then I went down an underbust size (from 12 to 10) and stayed the same cup size while my milk was coming in, and now my milk seems to have settled down I reckon I've gone down a cup size, back to my pre-preggy size!!!! I'm in need of some new bras (yay - I finally have breasts )

Anyway, my MW said to buy cheap ones now, and when I'm 34 weeks to buy better ones as thats the size I'm likely to stay post-baby.

But the saleslady at farmers said she recommended shopping at 5 and a half months (about 24 weeks) for the bras that would fit you when breast feeding.

Are either of these true for you? Or am I better to just buy cheaper bras until I've had bubs and know what size I am (I presume I'll eventually settle to one size?).
