Lol thanks ladies, Well we decided to name him
Lycan Kody Matiu Kay. And yes we stole the his name off the movie Underworld. It was the only name JK and I could agree on otherwise he would still be nameless.

He was 10days late so i guess in the end he was in a hurry to join us. I found the contractions the hardest part of labour the pushing was easy.

Hi ladies, i know it's been a while since ive been on but i dont have a computer at home at the moment.
Any way i gave birth on the 19th July to a healthy baby boy. He weighed 7lb 3oz's. My labour was fast 2 hours and 45 mins.

Hey Robyn, yer sticky eye and since i cant use the breast milk on it the midwife gave us eyedrops which seem to be working a charm

Hey Jess, great to hear things are going well. Is that sticky eye shes got? Addy has the same thing and so did Kobe. Apparently breast milk in the eye is suppose to be good for it but that wasnt an option with me and sounds like it wouldnt be with you either hehe. The other thing we were told to do is massage the corner of her eye. Luckily hers isnt so bad yet that we need eye drops but my midwife is keeping an eye on it (no pun intended)
With formula feeding have you decided to routine or demand feed? Hey ladies how are you all doing?

Ella is good is on 100% formula, no milk coming in here, the milk factory has gone out of business and apparently its hereditary (mum and my nana had the same problem) but Ella is happy and doing well
She has conjunctivitis in one eye that she had from day dot but spoke to midwife and have eyedrops for her now.

I'm not sure if I already said it, but I love the photos, she is gorgeous ! And I also know what you mean about those blues baalam, NASTY stuff - but I agree that it is much easier to handle things (as disrupted as they are) when you are in your own home. Yeah, a birth story will follow. The in-laws are down here so when I have a minute, I'll fill you all in.

It wasn't too much of an emergency, but I guess that's what they call it! There wasn't too much urgency in it at all really. It will all make sense when I fill in the rest of the details .

Had a fantastic first night at home last night so things are really looking up. It's much nicer being at home and I'm pretty sure those blues are just about gone. It was all down to lack of sleep and the whole hospital environment I reckon. I'm perking up fine and taking things easy!!

Now, apparently Jess has had Ella?! Just a little something to tide all you ladies over while waiting for news on Jess

Ashlee Jade was born via emergency c-section on 13th July 2006 at 6.03pm weighing 7lb 14oz (3.5kgs). All is well, I'm recovering perfectly so far. The nights are terrible and the blues are kicking in but I have the biggest support network so I'm trudging on. Loads and loads of highs, but also lows to go with them. It's to be expected, isn't it!?

I'm pretty exhausted as Ashlee thinks it's time to play up at 2-5am in the morning but we'll get there. Hope all other July babies are happy and come on time. Jess - my plug came away and then I realised that the cramps I had been having were actually contractions. And it was about the size of a 20c piece. Jes, my contractions started at 4.30am 29th and my MP came away 3am 30th had Zaara (via c section) at 4.21am 31st. I was fully dialated by 8pm(ish) 30th tho....so you might have Ella tonight or tomorrow...or it could be another few days...but I am sending you hurry up vibes!!!

Well i had another appointment with my MW this morning and she tried another sweep but she couldn't reach my cervix still really high. She has made me an appointment to see the doctor tomorrow morning to discuss induction over the next couple of days...Now that im over 41 weeks pregnant im starting to get frustrated that i havent had any signs of this baby wanting to exit my body. I have tried almost everything you can think of but it's just not ready. Not only am i starting to feel frustrated so is my whole family and that's just starting to stress me out. My blood presure is higher than normal today but i was put on the belts and baby seems happy... Don't panic! I'm still here!

Woke up at 5.30am with hubby this morning WIDE AWAKE! Had brekkie, watched a dvd then common sense kicked in and I went back to sleep lol   I've only just got up now.

Still haven't had any labour signs, just a bit more downward pressure than yesterday, but that could mean anything *sigh*

Jess - I still haven't had false labour and the niggles seem to have gone away for the weekend (hope they've gone somewhere nice to enjoy this sunshine ), still having the very frequent BM, but I haven't lost the plug at all (just the plot LOL). My sense of humour is still there at this stage
I can feel bubs' head moving against the cervix so I assume that means the head is engaged.

I have my next midwife appointment on Wednsday and I think we will try the "stretch and sweep". haha i cant even be bothered entering a race, i know that if all goes well on weds with the scan and monitoring that ill get my induction date and have her next weekend. Aww went to a wedding today it was so lovely! The rain even stopped for the bride to arrive and for the photos afterwards hehe
