Dang Natalie was born with dark dark eyes and never looked blue, always brown. I guess that means she's going to have brown eyes?? DS's eyes were a really dark blue/grey and have got lighter and lighter - they are a bright/light blue now. DD's eyes are still a very dark blue but have lightened a bit already.

Eye colours are all determined by chromosomes and dominant chromosomes are certain colours, I remember studying it in Bio at school, sorry can't remember what colours are the dominant.

But basically both sides of the family has to have the colour in their family history somewhere down the line and it gets spliced etc.

ATM DD has green/brown eyes but round the iris you can see blue so she looks like she has contacts on, highly likely she will have brown eyes as DP is majority Samoan and I have maori in it but we will see, he does have German in there somewhere. I want my brown curly haired, dark skinned, blue eyed baby lol

I have brown eyes and DH has grenny hazel mood ring eyes DD has deep brown eyes, and DS has very blue eyes. Layla has blue eyes. DH and I both have brown eyes. My nanna and DH's grampy have blue eyes, so hopefully they don't change,and she would be one of the lucky ones!

Ariannes eyes are still blue the same as mine, they have shown no other colours. Chelsea's eyes are still blue and she's almost 6 months. Both DH and I have green eyes so wonder if they will change...? Janaya had dark blue eyes, which went lighter gradually and then at 2 they decided to go green.

Jackson was also born with blue eyes but he just got lighter and lighter, and now has bright blue eyes. Wonder if they will go green like his sisters.

Dam, I have hazel eyes and DH has brown eyes and Eva has blue eyes, everyone told us if they change colour they would by 6 monts so we were hoping they would stay blue (both our familes have blue eyes).

My eyes are brown/hazel, DP's are true blue, and Elizabeth's are a stunning green now with these almost black flecks in them - really unusual. I was told the first 6 weeks. H&E's eyes were blue from day one but close to a year they started to change to green. My eyes are blue and DH's are hazel.  Brooke's eyes were dark blue/grey at birth gradually lightening to blue.  But if the light shines just right you can also see a bit of hazel in there.

There is a site I've been to where you put in parent's and grandparent's eye colours and it tells you the likelihoods of different eye colours for your baby.  Sorry I can't remember the nameof the site (sorry not very helpful!) but I'm sure if you Google it, you could find it.

Leonard's were pretty much black to begin with and haven't changed at all. I was hoping for a blue-eyed boy since DH has blue eyes but now I don't care because.... well, just look at them!

Emily's eyes started out blue/grey, then around 2 months they started to look more blue, then 3-4 months they went green, and graduallly they got darker until by 9-10 months they were brown and have stayed brown. Funny though because I have green eyes and DH hazel. DH's mum has hazel and his dad green/blue. But my mum has brown so that's probably where it comes in. My youngest three were all born with blue eyes, gremlins changed around 3 months and are now really dark brown. Lil miss had really stunning blue eyes till six months, then they gradually changed, now they're hazel, but they are changeable, sometimes greener, sometimes more brown.

My little boy looks so much like his dad and the only thing he seems to have inherited from me so far is long fingers (good for piano playing or catching the rugby ball when he's an All Black!!).

So I was hoping that at the very least he might get my brown eyes. However I don't know at what point their eye colour stays blue or when it changes. Can anyone tell me approximately what age it might change if it's going to?
