He ends up all over the show now so a pillow would be a waste lol.  I think if you are confident that you little one can move around if he got a little wedged then he'll be fine.  I actually thread our bumper through the bars and make sure its wedged a few inches below the mattress, as well as tie it on - so its pretty secure.]]>

Really SIDS is a combination of things as well. Like having a well ventilated room free of pet hair, smoke free ect. So at the age I doubt very highly a bumper would be a problem.]]>

I was thinking that they might be OK now that he is older...<br />Does anyone have any recommendations for how to make them safer?<br /><br />Thanks]]>
