I make a super easy Paella (not traditional but it is):

Fry chorizo sausage
add 1 tsp each of Cumin, Tumeric & Chilli power
1 cup of rice
fry it all up for a little bit to get the spices going
then add 1 tin of chopped tomatoes
2 cups of chicken stock
Salt

Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally and adding some more stock or water if it needs a bit more. 5 minutes before then end I chuck some peas in.

Daizy, its basically a spanish risotto of sorts.. Using paella rice, white wine, chorizo, fish, prawns, squid, mussels, peas, capsicums etc (pretty much whatever you want really, there is different traditional recipes throughout Spain) and you also add saffron.. We quite often add chicken to it as well.

Super duper yummy

ETA - if you google it I'm sure you'll find some recipes

I usually can't be faffed fiddling with dinner when we have people over, so it tends to be a mega mac cheese (NOT a cheap meal any more!), lasagne or fish pie - something I can do in bulk and that takes care of itself.

I keep threatening to do fondue one night though. ;)

We make homemade bases,and roll them to the siz of an oven tray. Then you can throw whatever on them , and have with salad. Yum!!

Mmmm meatball stroganoff on fettucine is yummy and easy otherwise I do asian beef salad. Its fast, tasty and abit flash. I serve it with garlic bread and might do individual parfaits for dessert coz they're easy.

what about a nice casserole, or roast lamb or beef
homemade chicken cordon bleus - chicken filled with ham and cheese - and yes you can eat it since it is going to be welled cooked!
when we have those we make a mash potato, a white sauce with cheese and garlic in it and for my I cook some veges - carrots and broccoli

dessert - instant pudding - 2 or 3 flavours - layered in a glass
apple crumble
pie of some sort?
