I had people saying my son needed to be 'topped up' with formula right from the start because he was a big baby. I used to get that a lot from my mother with my first two girls, and then again with Dani, the funny thing is that I have had to FF her and the other day mum said - 'are you sure that milk is strong enough?' Whoops forgot I posted this lol! Yeah MIL is one of the culprits hehe, also one of my friends who is formula feeding, everytime I mention anything her answer is "you should formula feed her" (well meaning of course) but yes will just have to smile and nod and just keep doing what I'm doing (Chelsea has grown heaps and lots of wees and poos lol so she is definitely not starving!)

My first thought was your MIL too! Just ignore the comments as best you can, you know what's best for Chelsea! You know that Campbell is just as bad for feeding frequently, I even have thoughts that my milk supply is not enough sometimes! I get it here too...but look at James....there is nothing starving about him! I also got it with Tom and it was part of the reason I weaned at 7 months which I dont want to do.

I had the same problem!! Both my kidlets were lil boobie monsters in the first 2 months and I fed them whenever they wanted which was very frequently in the day time. My whole extended family used to comment 'oh feeding AGAIN, when did you last feed?' and even my DP would ask if my milk was ok. I know for a fact it was fine I just had hungry babies. From about 2 months they both started sleeping through and slowly went down to having 5 feeds a day and now Tane is down to 3.

Some people just think if a baby cries they need food (no matter which way they are getting it) they just don't get that the baby might be tired, or have a stinky bum or be teething or is just being a git (talking about my baby, I'm sure Chelsea is a never a git!).

I would just say something like this "well considering the amount of poo that comes out of this child I don't think there is any concern about what is going in"

Kinda know how you must feel, my mum and grandmas all had problems feeding and stopped after 6 weeks (although maybe they just didnt know as much as we do nowdays) and everytime i speak to them i get the oh your still feeding him? Oh are you sure your milks enough? etc etc etc...

I'm sick of people telling me I don't have enough milk to feed my baby!!!!! every time she so much as whimpers around certain people, my milk is to blame.

Does anyone else get told they don't have enough milk? How do you deal with it?
