Yoghurt he always has to do himself and gets sh*tty if I so much as get within 12 feet of his spoon. Other times he wants to feed himself, sometimes he wants me to load up his fork but he wants to put in his mouth and then sometimes he just wants me to shovel it in for him and then other times he just gets in there with his hands. I got really annoyed a while ago about him not doing it, cos he was going through a stage of not bothering and DH had to remind me to just chill out and let him be a 2 year old, once I stopped hassling him about using his fork he started using it.

Meal times now I mostly just give him his food and his fork or spoon and then leave him to it, he asks if he wants me help and if he chooses to eat with his fingers I generally just let it slide. I've noticed though that when I'm not really paying any attention he starts imitating me and eats properly.

Daniels smart, he'll pick it up when hes ready It may be more that his personality means hes getting pissed off faster than say Jake whos pretty low-key so chucking it in faster? Anyway yeah I wouldn't worry. As he gets more coordinated he'll find it easier and have more patience I imagine!

Thats about it. He will use a spoon and/or fork sometimes at dinner, I always give them to him, but not always. I give him praise when he does use them. I am not worried about how much he uses them really at this stage as he uses them at the most important times, i.e cereal etc.
Personally I wouldn't be worried at this stage, just keep offering them to him and praise him when he does use them.
