lol Liz the Keegs was doing that the other week when the hurricans/crusaders played. Was copying our neighbour "GO THE CANES!!!" with his little arm in the air. And on the weekend he was doing it for the All Blacks copying my friend. Hes turning into a real rugby head. Cam has been trying to sing that too. He only knows "twinkle star ... you. twinkle star ... you" and he's starting to sing Happy Birthday, except it goes "Happy Cake to you, happy cake to you ..." - it's all about the cake, huh?
What about the fab moments when they're learning to do a new thing, like stand up, and they have That Look of "aren't I clever"
Or when they do a new thing that you've been trying to get them to do for AGES, and they do it & you think "I taught them that"

Or, on the odd occasion, when they're NICE to each other. Cam was holding Charlotte's hand last night and she was walking - sooo sweet!

Kiya gave me a very special moment last night... she has a folk-dancing evening at school tonight and the kids can either wear nice clothes or fancy dress. Kiya wanted to wear fancy dress... but she's outgrown her main "fairy" dress, so she wanted to wear her flowergirl dress (from our wedding). I put it on her, but it didn't fit (no surprise there, she wasn't quite 3 when she wore it!)

I made her evening, though... out of our wardrobe I got a costume I wore when I was 7, as a buttercup baby in a ballet production of The Wizard of Oz... the smile on her face as she tried it on was beautiful! Its when their faces light up when you come back into the room.

ooh, i got another one as my child hauls up my hirt yelling "tickletickletickle"

-it's when you go to the cemetary to show your son who he was named after, and you turn around and he's "discovered" that some people have left things on people's graves like windmills and little ornaments, and he's taken them for a "closer look" and you have to run around, guessing where they might belong...so if any of you have relatives buried in Feilding cemetary and are wondering where the little bear on the head stone is.....

I am having a "I can't find it" day too

- When they want to go to sleep on their fold out couch in front of the TV rather then go to sleep in their own bed (She has been there for 3 hours now - I had WW3 to get her into bed and gave up)

- Wanting whatever you are having but won't eat their own food.

- Leave the house for 10 mins to go get dinner cause the power was out for most of the day, doesn't want to stay with Daddy so screams "car" and "carseat" over and over until you get back.

- Says that she wants to go "toilet" , sits on the toilet says finished after doing nothing then goes into the spare room and does #2's over behind the spare bed

Think that is enough talk of my terror child (terrible two's are here!)

oh and one more
- everything is "NO MINE" and "up-a-day" (Grandma's saying for "PICK ME UP NOW")

-its when you little one hears you sneeze and you hear a quite "bless you mummy" (keegs did that yesterday so cute).
_its when you go to pick your kids up from daycare and when they see you they shriek with joy MUMMMMMMMMYYYY for all to hear so you know you are the coolest mum.
-its when you are teaching them to say pardon when they do a let rip and when they do it you hear them say "pardon mummy" lol
i cant think of anymore now either - tired brain.
I hope tomorrow is better for you though

*It's when you hear them say "thank you" or "please" or watch them play nicely with other children and realise that YOU influenced them to be that way
*It's when you throw them into the air and spin around and listen to them shriek with laughter.

Just had to add a another of my own.. yesterday we were walking up the street when Ella came across a cat and said "oh I love you cat" and blew it a kiss! That has got to be the sweetest thing I've ever seen her do/say!

Deb. I can hear you! My boys woke up at 5 and decided that both of them would only be happy when I was holding them...both....and walking around..while getting ready to go to school.

But
- it's when they decide that your dressing gown makes a cool fort and deicde to camp out under it as you stand to make a coffee
- it's when they find a chocolate biscuit, melt it everywhere and give you chocolate kisses.
- it's when they learna new thing and keep saying it over and over - even if it IS "no, mine!"
- it's when they hop into your bed and snuggle.
- it's when they pull your shirt up and blow raspberries on your stomach
- it's when they do cute things for each other and give kisses.
- I've run out!

i cant find it -

is it in the screaming when they are hungry or you are trying to change a nappy or dress them.

is it in the tanties they throw all day

is it in the lack of privacy and the fact everything you own gets broken

or the scum all over the house from dirty handprints

or the fact you dont have your body to yourself, somebody has to always be touching or grabbing at you

or maybe its the screaming when you sing to them or take them out somewhere nice

or do you find the joy when you cook them dinner and they throw it at you or the floor.

where is it ... cause i cant find it and i really dont wont to be a mum any more....
