Alot of the time silent reflux doesn't become painful until 12 weeks. Thanks ladies. Ashley is a very very peaceful baby and certainly doesn't scream at all. She is super happy flat on her back for floor time etc so I think our issue is just wind. We had an idea since about a week old. It started becoming more obvious when he was 3 weeks and with the 6 weeks jabs I had him at the Dr and he obviously has it.

However we are not medicating for it at all at the moment. I just position him differently and if need be walk with him in the front pouch or sling until I can put him down in bed with me.

I also just put up with the regular wake ups at night. he seems to prefer not a too fully tummy at night and rather feed smaller amounts more often.

DD showed signs from about 2-3 weeks but they got worse around 6 weeks I think, this is when the screaming started and she ended up on Omeprazole. Jake was on meds by 4 weeks. He'd scream all day unless he was upright poor baby. Ashley does that...in the night she will wake & feed and then when put back down just dozes making silent refluxing sounds, high-pitched noises, farting, squirming and grunting. Within an hour she will fully wake and start rooting around like crazy and won't really settle again until after another feed..where it all starts again.

She is usually fine during the day but for the last 3 days she has taken long naps during the day and not wanted awake time...she just starts to grizzle if I try to keep her up. Not sure why she is suddenly so sleepy in the day, maybe it is because of the rough nights.

Jakes became very apparent at about 5 weeks, we tried gaviscon and rhuger but at 12 weeks it had gotten much worse so ended up putting him on omezrapole.

Jake didnt scream so much as cry out in pain or whimper in his sleep. It wasnt constant just when it really hurt.

You could always just go to the GP and explain what shes like and try some infant gaviscon. When we tried this it worked for a few days but helped us figure out he had silent reflux. I just wonder about Ash as she wakes every 1 to 1.5 hours in the night and in between feeds seems to struggle constantly with milk washing up and down in her throat. Screaming, not really. More grizzly, didn't want to settle or sleep.
