    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=20127">BugTeeny</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 28834<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21 September 2009 at 8:05pm<br /><br />I never used nipple shields, so not too sure how they work, but I don't imagine they'd be too cumbersome that a muslin wrap wouldn't do the trick (as others had mentioned).<br /><br />I used them often. <br />If you're worried about it slipping off, just use a butterfly clip, or tie in a knot, on two corners behind your neck (IYKWIM). <br />Much cheaper and folds up really small into your nappy bag (also good for mopping up spills ) <br /><img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0">]]>

My boy is 5 months and l'm not planning on giving them up as they work really well for me. However it can be hard to be discreet in public. I too have become less conscious of it as time has gone on. I just drape a muslin over my shoulder and it works well. Have to say tho that sometimes l am less discreet because l am trying to hold wrap over me and latch him on. Generally l put him on quickly then cover up with wrap. Sorry that was very waffly!]]>

That said they are on special at the moment (Breastmates have a few more options too and I can thoroughly recommend Frances' service!)]]>
