Hi to all,I just let you know that I have received a shipment of Hooter Hiders and it contains lots of really nice patterns as well Loved Baby Shawls for nursing. These hooter hiders are really very amazing and very much comfortable.

I found it really hard to drape a cloth over me cos baby latched on and off all the time. But someone gave me a baby hideaway and I thought it was awesome.

I never used nipple shields, so not too sure how they work, but I don't imagine they'd be too cumbersome that a muslin wrap wouldn't do the trick (as others had mentioned).

I used them often.
If you're worried about it slipping off, just use a butterfly clip, or tie in a knot, on two corners behind your neck (IYKWIM).
Much cheaper and folds up really small into your nappy bag (also good for mopping up spills )

I also use nipple shields. My boy is 5 months and l'm not planning on giving them up as they work really well for me. However it can be hard to be discreet in public. I too have become less conscious of it as time has gone on. I just drape a muslin over my shoulder and it works well. Have to say tho that sometimes l am less discreet because l am trying to hold wrap over me and latch him on. Generally l put him on quickly then cover up with wrap. Chelle- you're 31 weeks already?!  Wow that's gone fast...although maybe not for you haha

I reckon you get over the whole body shy thing once you have bubba....I mean would those around you rather listen to a screaming hungry baby or see a bit of flesh? Just about everyone I've encountered has either not noticed me BF or have looked on approvingly. I whip my boob out everywhere and anywhere now lol. I'm totally over the body thing, which has been really liberating. Sorry, don't mean that in a preachy way...just I was body consious before too and am not now IYKWIM?

seams ok so far! i made it a little wider (cause im a little wider!) made it 115cm wide as that was the fabric width, only other thing i can think of is it might get a bit hot under there as i made it with a black print fabric. Those look quite cool, I like the idea of making one (or Mum making one) if I can find some cool fabric as those are all awesome prints.    

I had been thinking of just chucking a blanket over my shoulder but if it's secure it's one less thing to juggle and breast feeding in front of people is one of the things I am a little worried about as I'm a bit body shy. I did this once or twice too....and when you stop using the breast shields you probably won't be bothered just whipping out a boob and popping into your little ones mouth. I never cover up now. Don't even use the 'breastfeeding tops' I bought lol

It was really simple and you dont need sewing skills, only thig i would change was the length of the straps is a bit long. I haven't had a need for one, but if I did I would probably just go and get myself some material and make up a breastfeeding poncho (like this one from Breastmates) - they seem pretty basic. Hi,

I am using a nipple shield to breastfeed at the moment, and so breastfeeding discreetly in public is near to impossible. Has anyone used any of the breastfeeding covers/slings avaliable and can recommend one?

Ones I have come across so far are:

Baby Hideaway
Bubbaboo
Bebe au Lait / Hooter Hiders
Milkwrap
3bears Nursing Cover
3bears Nursing Scarf

Has anyone used any of these, or any other types and can recommend one?
