He doesn't like mess or crumbs, hates loud noise and is very shy and particularly easily overwhelmed in crowds (like if the playground is busy). He's also very on to it though and notices subtle stuff, has a large vocab and can count past 30 already. My sister's doc refered them to the behavioural assessment people at the hospital (partly due to his "quirks" and partly coz he can be very violent and disruptive at times). According to the assessment most of the strange behaviour is just normal 3 year old stuff (and the violence was him being frustrated at being picked on at daycare). Hopefully like the others above he'll grow out of it. Good lu

When she was younger, she would lock herself down the back of the house so she couldn't hear the roadwork noises from about 3 miles up the road, she'd flip out at the mall if she saw the cleaners trolley, and she still is absolutely terrified of gloves.
She always had her hands over her ears in loud situations eg at the aiport or during a parade and never wanted music on very loud. She is 5 now and seems to have grown out of it. There is information on this type of huper-sensitivity on the net and it seems failry common in young children. Sorry I can't help with the other issues but I'm not sure if they would be connected.

Blake is 3 and is highly sensitive. He does not like loud noises and will sit in a music group with his ears covered if he knows a loud song is coming up. He complains if the lights are too bright. He is very onto any different tone in any adults voice and notices straight away if I am quiet or sad. He has severe problems with many foods in that he flares up with eczema all over his body and has upset tums frequently and has an absolute aversion to anything Green. He is a very quick thinker and is really onto it with using big words and counting. He has an amazing happy little demeanour but can just as easily look like the Devil.

Is this odd or is this just a 3 year old?
