Yep I've got this too, it's worse on my upper arms but I also have it a bit on the fronts of my thighs. Thanks for the actual name of it Aimee

The Wikipedia page on it is actually really useful, as is [http://www.helpforkp.com/]this one[/url]. It's a genetic thing! Not sure if diet would make any difference at all based on their description but it makes sense that it's worse in winter when there's lower moisture levels in the air.

Would love to know if there's a miracle fix though (although the info I looked up says it can't be cured, boo) - it's really annoying!

ETA although it does say some people grow out of it... fingers crossed!

My daughter and I have this , and the other day in the bath I notice my 14 mnth old has it now too. I was told it was something to do with fat stores in the body but my kids dont eat alot of fatty things. I have this too...its so annoying! When I was pregnant I got the Clarins oil (Huile tonic or something) to help prevent stretchmarks. I've noticed that people who spend a lot of time in the sun don't seem to have it, so maybe stop covering it up? A medical reason to go to the beach this summer, yay!

That wheat thing is interesting, I haven't been eating much wheat lately, just looked at my arms and yep, it has faded. My DH & his family & Alia have it, well at least DH & Alia had it.

Apparently if your digestion isn't the greatest then this shows in bumps on the backs of your arms.

Can't remember who told me this but when DH's digestion is good his arms are all good, when he's been eating lots of stuff that disagrees with him they come back.

Just check Alia's is back a little bit & over the last 2 weeks we have been giving her increased amounts of wheat so we can do the gluten blood test. Wonder if it's wheat that causes it? I have been told there is a soap you can by from Crabtree & Evelyn i know there is one in Botany in Auckland..

I only been told this thru a friend and never actually been down there to ask.
I dont know if gets rid of it totally.

I have this as well. I haven't found anything that really gets rid of it. My GP once suggested lots of exfoliation or even fine sandpaper (not sure if he was actually serious or not).
I do find in summer after being out in the sun it gets better though.
So no real help, but I can sympathise.
