(the previous scratches have just about healed now so will be easy to tell) I don't think it was scabies as cant see any evidence of this.<br /><br />I may try the sticky tape idea if it carries on . . . ]]>

I would imagine its not very comfy for bubby to have some tape stuck to their bum tho.  They also suggested taking a torch in and having a look.<br /><br />Goodluck, hope you get it sorted soon.]]>

So they all seem to have different opinions on it. ]]>

You can use the choc square ones like pepsi said. They are safe for that age group (at least that is what the 2 pharmaists said as checked 2 different chemists) and relatively cheap so I would probably just do it and rule that out before heading to the Dr's.]]>

She has a skin condition that means she reacts badly to skin trauma, but it still looks like she has been having a very intensive scratch.<br /><br />I thought it may be worms so (as recommended by the nurse i spoke to when getting her jabs) i went in with a torch last night and had a look around her anus for any signs of wormy life but couldn't see anything.<br /><br />Just wondering if anyone else's DD or DS has done mysterious scratching at night and what it may be. I haven't ruled out worms entirely yet, but the nurse seemed to think if it was i would definitely see them (and the pharmacy medication says it is very rare in under 2s)<br /><br />She does go to daycare so i am guessing she could have easily picked it up.<br /><br />any ideas???<br /><br />ta <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>
