LOL my littlest was crawling at just-on six months, and now she is climbing like a maniac!

hehe - we gave up on trying to get Ollie back down his cot - he wriggles his way up to the top no matter what we do and often sleeps tucked into a corner. My girl is the same.. she usually wriggles to the top of the cot, out of the blankets etc.
I honestly have no idea on how to stop it.. I usually just pull her back under her blankets and tuck her in tight..   
If he's getting cold maybe you could get a sleeping bag for him?

my child is no longer where I put him when I go to check on him..

I had gotten used to him being in another part of the room but this afternoon when he just refused to sleep I went in to get him out of his cot and he was lying sideways. Head touching one side and kicking the slats on the other side.
